Hi. I’m Meg. Founder of Anklebiters, LLC—a consulting practice built on the belief that meaningful change begins by addressing the small things that quietly trip people and organizations up.

I believe the best solutions are rarely found in a binder, a strategic plan, or a presentation deck.

More often, they’re already in the room.

They’re found in conversations that help people slow down, ask better questions, see problems from a different perspective, and uncover possibilities they hadn’t considered before.

That’s the work I love.

Throughout my career—as a professor, researcher, facilitator, and leadership consultant—I’ve worked with organizations navigating change, uncertainty, growth, and complexity. Whether partnering with athletic departments, schools, nonprofits, or executive teams, my role is never to arrive with all the answers. Instead, I create the space for people to think differently, connect more deeply, and move forward with confidence.

I’ve always said I help people find the missing pieces of the puzzle.

Sometimes those pieces are hidden in data. Sometimes they’re found in relationships. Sometimes they’re uncovered through difficult conversations. And often, they’re already there—waiting for someone to ask the right question.

My work is grounded in research but driven by people. As a Full Professor of Sport Administration at the University of Louisville, my research focuses on compassionate leadership, organizational culture, employee well-being, and leadership in times of change. That work has taken me into boardrooms, athletic departments, classrooms, conference stages, and leadership retreats, where I’ve had the privilege of working alongside leaders who care deeply about creating environments where people and organizations can thrive.

What matters most to me isn’t simply solving today’s problem.

It’s helping leaders build the confidence, relationships, and capacity to navigate whatever comes next.

I believe leadership begins with curiosity.

It grows through trust.

It flourishes when people feel seen, heard, and valued.

Whether we’re exploring culture, facilitating strategic conversations, analyzing organizational data, or developing leaders, my goal is always the same: to help people uncover what is possible and create meaningful, lasting progress.

If we work together, don’t expect a consultant who spends the day talking at you.

Expect thoughtful questions.

Honest conversations.

Research-informed insights.

A little laughter.

And a genuine belief that the people closest to the challenge are also closest to the solution.

I’d love to start with a conversation.
